Earlier this morning, Saint Francis SPE competed against Texas A&M, The University of Tulsa, The University of Southern California, and the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. The team consisted of Captain Ian Gabig (Senior), Caleb Lutz (Junior), and Charles Pelsang (Sophomore). Ian Gabig led the team with 60 points.
This is the second year SFU has competed in this prestigious competition. Last year Jake Wyland, Teresa Reid, Jay Hardy, and Gabe Quintero traveled to Los Angeles to represent SFU in the chapter's first Petrobowl competition. This year's performance improved substantially on last year's showing, setting a school record.
Reflecting on the event, Caleb Lutz revealed, “my first petrobowl was an interesting experience. Despite the competition being online, it was amazing being able to compete with students from all over. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from this experience.”
