Members Earn Scholarships| Red Flash and Nittany Lions Team Up in State College

Four members of our chapter each earned $2500 scholarships from the SPE Pittsburgh Section. Three of the four are pictured below. Frank Zheng is not pictured. The students will be awarded their scholarships at the second annual Pints and Posters event in Carnegie, PA hosted by the SPE Pittsburgh section.

In other news, the four scholarship recipients spent their Good Friday doing good with SPE Penn State. The two chapters coordinated an outreach event at Discovery Space of Central Pennsylvania. Our chapter explained the principles of core sampling to children (and also their parents) ages two through ten. For more pictures see our facebook page or look at the embedded post below.
